Trip & Taste v2 privacy policy
Updated 3 October 2026.
Trip & Taste does not collect or transmit personal data to the developer. There is no account, analytics, advertising, backend or cloud sync. The native app does not request location, photos, contacts, camera or microphone access.
Trip names, dates, stop choices, checkmarks, favourites and journal text are stored in the app’s local storage. They remain until the visitor deletes them or removes the app and its data. Device backup settings may create system backups; manage those through Apple’s settings. The app does not control or delete system backups.
Individual trips and notes can be deleted in their screens. About → Delete all version 2 personal data removes current v2 records and copies preserved by the saved-data recovery feature. Recovery copies are retained to help recover unreadable data. Previous web-app data is separate and is not imported or displayed by v2.
Sharing is initiated by the visitor. A shared plan includes its name, chosen dates and stops; journal text is shared separately. Source, Maps and YouTube links open in external services, whose privacy policies apply. Map links contain only the public place search, not saved dates, journal text or current location.
Bundled guides contain public destination information and original editorial plans. They do not contain the owner’s private bookings, travel dates, contacts or journal.
This policy covers the native version 2 app. External services and the previous web application have separate policies. Support is available through the support page on this website. Public support requests are handled by GitHub; avoid posting personal information there.
